Caboolture the place of choice for first home buyers

Date Released - April 5, 2017.

First home buyers in South East Queensland are finding a new foothold in the housing market, with the Moreton Bay region at the forefront of a new suburban housing revolution.

Caboolture’s latest masterplanned community — Central Springs — is leading the way, with first home buyers making up 70 per cent of the development’s sales to date.

Construction is already underway on the QM Properties project, a community that will see at least 1000 brand new homes completed by 2023.

QM Properties General Sales Manager Damien Ross said first home buyers have already recognised the appeal of calling Central Springs home.

“We have been receiving really strong levels of enquiry since release, resulting in 40 sales all off the plan,” said Mr Ross.

“First home lending and buying is certainly on the rise in Queensland, and it’s great to see people considering the Caboolture and Moreton Bay region.

“Growth in the area, attractive house prices and its proximity to Brisbane’s city centre make Central Springs an appealing and affordable option for first home buyers.”

Australian Bureau of Statistics Housing Finance data released in March revealed that financing for Queensland owner-occupied dwellings rose by 3.5 per cent over the past year; 13.4 per cent of which were first home buyer commitments.

“This latest data quashes concerns that first home buyers are being pushed out of the market by investors and our current sales figures are a reflection of this,” said Mr Ross.

“We have also seen a large amount of interest from the local first home buyers with 83.3 per cent of our buyers already living in the Moreton Bay area, which shows great faith in the region.

“Many of our buyers are people who have grown up in the area and want to remain close to their family and local community.

“We are proud that Central Springs has seen the dream of home ownership become a reality for many local Moreton Bay residents.”

Set on more than 400 acres of premium land, Central Springs follows the success of previous QM Properties’ developments in the Caboolture region: Central Park, Central Park North and Central Lakes.

“With the already-established shopping village at nearby Central Lakes, and hospitals, schools and transport hubs just a short drive away, Central Springs provides an excellent and affordable housing solution,” said Mr Ross.

“Situated in the Northern Growth Corridor, the Moreton Bay region is maturing into the ideal place for families.

“The recently completed Redcliffe rail line and the planned development of the regions first major university campus at Petrie solidify the area as a thriving lifestyle hub.

“Caboolture and Central Springs are ideally situated in the centre of the action, perfectly placed to take advantage of all the Moreton Bay region has to offer.

“This combined with many appealing features such as its own community shops, recreational spaces and a 12.5 hectare lake, providing beautiful surrounds, means Central Springs will be a wonderful community in which buyers can purchase their first home.
