A recent survey found that Australia has one of the most flexible working environments in the world, a trend which is starting to be reflected in how people build their Queensland dream home. According to Nutrend Homes’ Peter Nastrom the increasing acceptance of agile working is driving interstate growth and changing the way people design their homes. “While recently there has been a lot of hype around the Commonwealth games driving growth on the Gold Coast, we have witnessed a significant growth in the number of interstate buyers over the past two years, with now a third of our clients coming from ... The developers of the long-awaited Coomera Quays, the Gold Coast’s newest waterfront residential estate, have received significant interest from buyers being driven by the area’s projected population boom and the resurging demand for coastal suburban living. Master planned communities (MPCs) have enjoyed increasing popularity in Australia since the 1950s. Based on a concept that originated in Los Angeles, MPCs are satellite communities outside of the CBD that are equipped with their own lifestyle amenities, such as shops, schools, restaurants and recreational parklands. Australia’s first MPC was “Castlecrag” in Sydney, designed in 1925 by architect Walter Burley Griffin, who also designed Canberra. Although nearly a century old, Griffin’s concept of a Master Planned Community still resonates with today’s buyers, who value a strong sense of community and access to key lifestyle attributes. Through decades of experience as one of Queensland’s ... Read more »

Some things are worth the wait. QM Properties are commencing construction of the Coomera Quays residential estate on the 27th of April, following an extensive and lengthy approval process. “It has taken 12 years, and a plethora of development approvals at both a local and state level, but we’ve finally achieved all necessary requirements to commence construction,” said QM Properties Project Manager Scott Willis. “Due to the length and the exacting requirements of the approval process, as well as the strict level of compliance required, Coomera Quays is likely to be one of the last artificially created canal developments constructed in Queensland,” he said. Coomera Quays is ... Read more »
