Developed by QM Properties, 160 Macquarie features a limited release of 34 premium three-bedroom residences.

Award-winning architects Rothelowman have been appointed to design the development with apartments boasting northern aspects across the river and northeast views towards the city skyline.

The facilities include a riverside pool and sun deck, and an entertaining deck in the shade of a beautiful, existing fig tree.

On the rooftop, there is a private dining room with spectacular views northeast to Brisbane City, and a landscaped outdoor space with views down the long reach of the river to Mt Coot-tha and beyond.

Colliers International director Andrew Roubicek has been involved in numerous owner-occupied luxury apartment projects across Brisbane and said 160 Macquarie was in a class of its own.

“Working with QM Properties and Rothelowman, we have taken all of the feedback that we have received from buyers over the years and put that knowledge into the design of these apartments,” Mr Roubicek said.

Apartments in the 14-level building are expected to be priced from $1 million to $3 million-plus.

Developer QM Properties is preparing for construction to commence around mid-year, with buyers already lining up to anchor their position on the riverfront.

QM development manager Glenn Rix said there was pent-up demand, particularly from local right-sizers looking to make the move to a new apartment in the neighbourhood they love.

“The St Lucia riverfront is completely built out, so our plans for this site, neighbouring the University of Queensland and Toowong Rowing Club, and within close proximity to Indooroopilly Golf Course, community parks, cafes and a ferry terminal, is welcome news for many,” he said.

Mr Rix said 160 Macquarie would also address the lack of boutique, super luxury apartment buildings in the Brisbane market.

“There have been very few new apartment projects in recent years boasting a ‘full house’ of luxury apartments to the calibre that will be seen at 160 Macquarie,” he said.
